My knee-jerk reaction was that it may have been limited to people who chose to install Macrium’s own recovery environment onto their PCs boot drive. I’ll state up front I didn’t dig deep enough even in the Macrium forum to form a solid opinion on what may be or may have been going on with the referenced problem. I've never been unable to recover a computer and I have computers using Macrium backup products. Sometimes things will break on a new release which is what you are seeing yet support will provide a workaround till there is a fix and the fixes come out in a day or two at most. About 3 years ago I moved to Macrium products and it's been a totally different experience. Eventually I got tired of backups that could not be restored and backups that failed as the product was too sensitive. There support was very good at apologizing and very pore at helping at critical times. I used Acronis backup solutions for many years and they worked except when they broke. I need something I can depend on when I really need it. So for the Macrium users out there, what's your experience with Reflect 8 and Windows 11? Is it a good fit or should I keep looking for something else? I am tired of my Acronis experience and I just want to get on with using my computer for photography. After browsing the website and perusing the user manual some, I dipped into the Support Form and one of the first threads I hit there under Installation had a number of recent posts about issues installing and using a new update version with Windows 11. I thought to take this opportunity, with a fresh build, to replace Acronis and after reading several threads here I decided to look closer at Macrium Reflect 8 Home. My old PC is Windows 10 and I was (am) using Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office. I have assembled my new PC and installed Windows 11 Home.
